ICTboard (ictboard.eu) provides intelligence for European digitisation professionals —
AI-curated news for ICT advisors and researchers in the EU. This policy explains how we process personal data when you use our website, newsletter, or Premium subscription.
We do not build advertising profiles, sell personal data, or use visitor or subscriber data to make automated decisions about you.
When you browse the dashboard (without subscribing):
We do not require an account.
Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamp) may be stored briefly for security and operations.
Plausible Analytics — aggregated, cookieless usage statistics (pages viewed, referrers, device type, country). No advertising profiles and no cross-site tracking. See section 5.
We do not use advertising or social tracking pixels.

3. Why we use your data (legal basis)
Newsletter delivery — performance of a service you requested, based on your consent after double opt-in (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).
Security & uptime — legitimate interest in operating a reliable service (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
Website analytics — legitimate interest in understanding aggregate traffic to improve the product (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). Plausible does not use cookies for this purpose.
Premium access & payment — performance of a contract you requested (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
Premium waitlist — your consent when you register interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).
Product feedback — legitimate interest in improving editorial quality (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). Feedback does not change article rankings automatically.
Email engagement (opens/clicks) — legitimate interest in measuring newsletter quality, disclosed in this policy (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
4. AI-generated content & sources
Article titles and summaries on ICTboard are generated with AI from publicly available RSS feeds and linked
to the original publishers. We do not claim ownership of source material. Summaries may contain inaccuracies;
always refer to the original article. We do not use your personal data to train article-ranking models.
Internal operations may use separate AI-assisted reports for the publisher only (not for automated decisions about you).
5. Processors & third parties
Brevo (Sendinblue) — email delivery and subscription management. Brevo may record opens and link clicks in aggregated form to measure engagement. Data may be processed in the EU. See Brevo’s privacy policy.
Plausible Analytics — privacy-friendly website statistics (EU-based, no cookies, no personal data sold). See Plausible’s privacy policy and data policy.
Hetzner — hosting of our server infrastructure in the EU.
Mollie — payment processing for Premium subscriptions (iDEAL, card, and other EU methods). Mollie processes payment data according to its own privacy policy. See Mollie’s privacy policy.
Original publishers — when you click “Read full article”, you leave ICTboard and their policies apply.
6. Retention
Newsletter data is kept while you remain subscribed.
After unsubscribe, your email and preferences are removed or anonymised within 30 days.
Premium subscription records are kept while your access is active and for up to 7 years thereafter for tax and accounting obligations, then deleted or anonymised.
Waitlist entries are removed within 30 days after you are onboarded, decline, or ask us to delete them.
Anonymous story feedback is retained for product improvement; entries with an optional email follow the same 30-day deletion window on request.
Article archive (non-personal): active stories retained up to 365 days, then deactivated.
Server logs are retained for up to 90 days unless needed longer for security incidents.
7. Your rights (EEA / UK)
You may request:
Access to your personal data
Correction or deletion
Withdrawal of consent (unsubscribe link in every email, or email us)
Restriction or objection where applicable
Data portability for data you provided
Contact privacy@ictboard.eu.
You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (in the Netherlands: Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
8. Cookies & browser storage
ICTboard uses Plausible Analytics in its default, cookieless configuration. Plausible does not
place analytics cookies or use local storage for tracking. We do not show a cookie consent banner for this limited
statistics collection because no non-essential cookies are set for analytics.
Premium access: after payment we email you a personal access link. Your browser may store the
access token in local storage so Quarter view and reports stay unlocked — this is functional storage
for your subscription, not advertising or cross-site tracking. You can clear it anytime via browser settings; use the
link in your email to restore access.
If we change analytics tools or enable features that use cookies, we will update this policy and ask for consent
where required by law.
9. International transfers
We aim to process data within the European Economic Area. If a processor transfers data outside the EEA,
we ensure appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) are in place.
10. Children
ICTboard is intended for business and professional readers. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
