About ICTboard

Intelligence for European digital continuity.

ICTboard helps digitisation leaders in European organisations — CIOs, IT directors, and senior leadership — stay oriented when vendor lock-in, policy, and geopolitics threaten operational continuity. We aggregate public RSS feeds, apply AI to summarise and classify stories, and surface the most relevant items per goal (up to seven on the dashboard), optional category, and time period (Week, Month; Quarter for premium subscribers).

Continuity & independence

Continuity is what boards fear losing: the ability to keep operating without a single vendor, jurisdiction, or stack change stopping the organisation. Independence is what CIOs build: choice on stack, data, identity, and AI.

90-day test

If your primary vendor changed terms tomorrow — what still works in 90 days?

ICTboard tracks five pillars under Digital Independence:

  • Stack — open source, open standards, auditable supply chain
  • Data — EU residency, portability, backup reversibility
  • Identity — IdP, eIDAS, exit from a single identity plane
  • AI & compute — inference boundaries, model portability
  • Optionality — exit clauses, second source, in-house skills (Premium reports go deeper)

Sovereignty theatre — what looks like independence but is not: an EU region without jurisdictional control; open core without export; multi-cloud without portable data; on-prem legacy without security patches.

The product name reflects our approach: a gauge — a reading on direction and temperature across four strategic goals, not only individual headlines.

Four goals

Every story is tagged with one or more strategic lenses — each maps to a typical executive owner:

Digital Independence

CIO · IT director · CEO

Tracking independence on stack, data, identity, and AI — so vendor lock-in does not threaten operational continuity.

Digital Privacy

CIO · DPO

Unhindered use of the internet — without unjustified monitoring or profiling.

Digital Security

CSO · CISO

Protecting the secrecy of digital confidential information, the integrity of data, and continuity of business.

Digital Productivity

COO · CDO

Introducing digital tools that increase the output and effectiveness of employees.

Intelligence, not surveillance

ICTboard covers surveillance law, digital identity, and state and market overreach — but we are not built on that model. We do not assemble dossiers on readers, predict behaviour, or sell data to third parties.

  • No reader profiling — browse the dashboard without an account. We collect the minimum needed to run the service.
  • AI on articles, not people — our model classifies public news stories. Subscriber and visitor data are not used to train rankings or score individuals.
  • EU-hosted inference — summaries run on infrastructure in the EU, not on advertising platforms.
  • No ad or social tracking — cookieless aggregate analytics only; no pixels that follow you across the web.

We watch the surveillance debate so executives can orient themselves — without turning our own product into a surveillance system. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Goal Board

After you choose a goal, the Goal Board shows a green / amber / red reading per period (Week and Month) — a temperature for the field, suitable for briefings and client updates.

Editorial review & report cadence

Quarterly and strategic Premium reports are reviewed by FRISSE BRONNEN advisors before release — for executive tone, consistency across goals, and alignment with European policy context. Automated drafts are never published without human approval.

Cadence: quarterly board briefings typically ship ~6 weeks after quarter end; strategic H1 and H2 editions typically late July–August and early December — not fixed calendar days. The live dashboard and newsletter update continuously; PDF editions ship when review and archive depth support them.

How we use AI

  • Public articles are fetched from RSS and Atom feeds — publishers, policy outlets, and selected newsletters.
  • Sources are checked on a 4-hour schedule. Quality over volume: relevance scoring, promo/commerce filtering, and human admin corrections where needed.
  • A local AI model on EU hosting rewrites titles (European sentence case) and produces a three-sentence summary.
  • Each item receives a goal, category, sentiment (🟢 opportunity · 🟠 mixed · 🔴 headwinds), and relevance score (65–95).
  • Summaries are indicative — always read the original article. We do not use subscriber or visitor data to train ranking models.
  • A separate operations report (AI-assisted) may be sent to the publisher for server health and quality — it does not change article rankings.

Sources & attribution

ICTboard does not republish full articles. Each card links to the original publisher. Source name and publication date are shown on every item. Feeds are processed automatically every four hours; editorial quality depends on source selection, relevance filtering, and AI classification.

Newsletter

Subscribe for compact board-ready email editions per goal. Choose Weekly subscription — Week and Month editions on separate days (Friday and first Wednesday of the month). Quarter editions require Premium. One email per goal per edition; multiple goals are staggered by a few minutes. Double opt-in is required; you can update schedules anytime via the link in any email. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your email address.
